We’re excited to let you know that the Texas OnCourse Academy Reward Program will continue through the 2020–21 school year. This program awards up to $480 to professional school counselors who complete modules in the Academy.
We have made important updates to the program. Please review the information below, and be sure to visit our website for additional details.
The big change
We will process rewards during three distinct periods throughout the year: in October, April, and August. You’ll be able to submit reward requests during these periods:
Oct 15–31
April 15–30
August 15–31
You will not be able to submit a reward request outside these two-week windows. If you have a PIF on file or complete your PIF in a timely manner, we’ll process your payment within 30 days after the submission window closes.
What you can earn
You can earn $80 for each distinct group of 5 modules you complete. We encourage you to complete all 31 modules for a total of $480!
You can complete these modules and request your rewards in stages. For example, if you complete 12 modules before October 31, you can submit a reward request for 10 modules. If you complete 8 more modules before April 30, meaning you’ve completed 20 modules total, you can submit another request for 10 modules.
You cannot submit requests for modules you’ve already received a reward for.

Who qualifies
The reward program is limited to school counselors employed by a Texas public or private school or district. Your Academy occupation must be listed as “professional school counselor” to qualify. We reserve the right to verify employment for reward requests.
Current Texas OnCourse fellows are not eligible to participate in the program. Those who received the full $480 stipend during the summer program aren’t eligible for the full-year continuation.
